British authorities have a plan in the event of the death of 17-year-old cat Larry, who lives at the residence of the country's Prime Minister
Mongrel cat Larry has served as the British government's chief mouser since 2011, receiving a salary of £100 a year. Larry has official status, so there is a special plan in case of his death.
Photographs of Larry in Downing Street have been specially selected for publication following the news of his death and are kept among classified government records. In addition, a press release and materials for publication on social networks have been prepared.
The plan is called “Larry Bridges”, a reference to Operation London Bridge, which determined the course of action by British authorities and officials after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
