Rosneft presented a historical and cultural project for autotourists, dedicated to the life of the outstanding Russian surgeon, professor of medicine V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky, later St. Luke.

A museum exhibition dedicated to the biography of the legendary figure is presented in the village of Bolshaya Murta, Krasnoyarsk Territory. This location is part of the Krasnoyarsk-Yeniseisk tourist route, which Rosneft and the Krasnoyarsk Territory Tourism Agency presented last year.

The presentation of the project took place at the new Rosneft gas station in Krasnoyarsk, which opened in the Solnechny microdistrict. The new complex provides simultaneous refueling of six cars, including Pulsar-95 fuel. In the cafe, visitors can order coffee, hot dogs, burgers, pastries and various ready-made dishes.

With the support of Rosneft, this year a new exhibition dedicated to the life of the world-famous surgeon, scientist and spiritual writer – St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky) was opened at the Bolshemurtinsky Museum of Local Lore. Among the most valuable exhibits are genuine objects that convey the atmosphere of the era and personal history, in which two vocations were combined – medicine and faith.

The talented doctor Valentin Feklisovich Voino-Yasenetsky went through a thorny path – he worked as a surgeon in zemstvo hospitals and military hospitals. He combined healing with scientific activity, drawing on extensive practical experience. In the 1920s, V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky, being a surgeon whose scientific developments were already recognized by the medical community, became a monk with the name Luke. During the Great Patriotic War, while in exile, he saved thousands of lives – he operated on the wounded, and was the main consultant to all military hospitals in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In addition to the main exhibition dedicated to St. Luke, museum curators conduct excursions to places of memory of Voino-Yasenetsky – a temple, a church and a regional hospital where he worked during the Great Patriotic War. The spring of St. Luke is especially popular – Voino-Yasenetsky used the crystal clear water from it to prepare medicines

The fund of the Bolshemurtinsky Museum of Local Lore includes more than three thousand exhibits – artistic, archaeological, numismatic, natural science, ethnographic. For example, in the exhibition hall “The World of the Siberian Village” you can get acquainted with the history of the settlement of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, learn about the life, traditions and rituals of the local peasantry.
