A real program, determination, consistency and faith in success are needed to overcome the demographic crisis – emphasized Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Sejm and leader of the Confederation, on Thursday during the conference “Demographic policy today and tomorrow”.

On Thursday, the Sejm hosts a conference “Demographic policy today and tomorrow” organized by the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, the leader of the Confederation, Krzysztof Bosak. In addition to Bosak, the conference participants include, among others: his wife, Confederation MP Karina Bosak, chairwoman of the Family and Demography Council under President Karol Nawrocki Barbara Socha, ministers in the Chancellery of the President Karol Rabenda and Adam Andruszkiewicz, head of the Confederation club Grzegorz Płaczek, as well as representatives of the private sector and experts in think-tanks and organizations such as Ordo Iuris, the Jagiellonian Club, the Pokolenia Institute Foundation and the Strategy Center Developmental.
Opening the conference, Bosak said that there was no more serious challenge for Polish social life than overcoming the demographic crisis. He expressed his belief that the public debate on this issue “is accompanied by an atmosphere of defeatism.”
– The vast majority of researchers and social leaders assume that the process is inevitable, therefore the only thing that can be done is to slow it down and adapt state and social policies to it. This approach eliminates, excludes or disregards the factor of conscious will, decision, and freedom in shaping one's own future. (…) There is no reason for us to believe that, like other European nations or other nations in the world, we are doomed to only one possible path of further history, he emphasized.
The Deputy Speaker of the Sejm indicated areas where appropriate regulation can help overcome the demographic crisis culture, social organization, law, institutions and state financial policy, including housing policy and labor market policy.
– I see no reason why Poland should not be the place where the negative trend will be broken. (…) We need a real program, we need determination, consistency, faith in success – emphasized the leader of the Confederation.
