Poland 2050 is ready to renegotiate the coalition agreement; We have to do the government's rebranding – said the Marshal of the Sejm on Wednesday, leader of the group Szymon Hołownia. He also assessed that the government should appoint a spokesperson and “rebuild the substantive part” of the concluded contract.

On Tuesday, MEP Michał Kobosko from Poland 2050 assessed in an interview with Wirtualna Polska that among the parliamentarians of the grouping “there is no great conviction as to vote for the new Speaker of the Sejm in the middle of the term”, although according to the coalition agreement from November 14 this year. This function is to be held by Włodzimierz Czarzasty (left). “I know that similar feelings are in other clubs,” he added.
Hołownia referred to the Koboski words on Wednesday in an interview with journalists in the Sejm. “The coalition agreement applies, but if we hear that it is to be renegotiated, we are ready to renegotiate it in several aspects and it certainly will not be that we will only negotiate the aspect of marshalting in the Sejm,” he said.
In the opinion of the Speaker of the Sejm, the priority should be “rebuilding the substantive part” so that voters believe that the coalition “will take these things”. He indicated that the coalition agreement should include the government's communication strategy. “We have to rebranding this government and this coalition. We must have a spokesperson who will work to tell everything we do, and not just to let someone say, what we do not do” – he assessed.
Hołownia reminded that at the end of May Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the reconstruction of the government, which is to take place after the second round of the presidential election. “If the prime minister talks about the reconstruction of the government, it will not be possible without the renegotiation of the coalition agreement,” added the Polish leader 2050.
Asked by journalists whether he would like to act as the Speaker of the Sejm until the end of the parliamentary term, he emphasized that his fate depends on the coalition partners. “Today I am finishing my office on November 13. When we arrange the coalition on the halfway point and – in my opinion – we will have to postpone it, we will see it. I do not get attached” – he assured. He added that he certainly would not enter the government and would not agree to the function of deputy marshal of the Sejm.
The prime minister announced on TVP Info that in June the government is facing reconstruction. He emphasized that after the changes the government would be less numerous and more efficient. He also admitted that he would like to renegotiate a coalition agreement.
Czarzasty, when asked by journalists in the Sejm about the prime minister's announcement, said that he was supporting the introduction of changes, so that the government was “more efficient”. “It is always the case that after two years and after some period of the government's operation, you need to assess everything that is good, which is bad. I do not see any sensation in it,” emphasized the deputy marshal of the Sejm. (PAP)
