The president of the FCSB, Valeriu Argăseală, reappeared in public on March 18 at the General Assembly, after a period in which he was absent from football events.
The official was no longer seen at the stadiums due to health problems, but he came to Casa Fotbalului to apply for one of the two positions representing the clubs in the Super League.

Last November, the media reported that Valeriu Argăseala had a serious operation in Austria due to a serious illness. The treatment and recovery then paid off, but the situation remained a sensitive one for the club president.
At the event that will decide the new president of the FRF, Argăseala appeared physically changed and visibly affected by the difficult period he went through. In the past, he was a constant presence at FCSB matches and club meetings, but as his health worsened these appearances became increasingly rare.
Valeriu Argăseală has been at FCSB since August 2007, being one of the longest-serving managers in Romanian football.
