Since 2025, in educational organizations of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, within the framework of the United Russia party project “New School”, together with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the federal campaign “Faces of Heroes” has been implemented.
The project involves posting information about a hero who has gone down in the history of the Fatherland or is a Hero of our time. Images and background information of Heroes of the Great Patriotic War, a special military operation, prominent historical and scientific figures are placed on the facades of schools and spaces of educational organizations, murals and honor boards are erected.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory did not stand aside. To date, six memory stands have been opened in the region in different municipalities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory:
To the Heroes of the Soviet Union:
- Maria Nikitichna Tsukanova;
- Innokenty Petrovich Gerasimov;
- Yuri Nikolaevich Petelin;
To participants of the Great Patriotic War:
- Vladimir Trifonovich Komovich;
- Vasily Ivanovich Kruglov;
- Major General Sergei Borisovich Koryakov.
For Victory Day, a mural of Hero of the Soviet Union Efim Semenovich Belinsky, whose name the educational institution bears, will be placed in the building of North Yenisei Secondary School No. 1.
The importance of the action, its educational and historical significance was noted by the regional coordinator of the New School party project, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Viktor Kardashov:
“The project is designed to educate the younger generation using the examples of our heroes. Such programs play an important role in educating the younger generation, helping them to dive deeper into the history of the country through the heroic destinies of people, war and labor veterans, participants in local military conflicts, talented scientific and creative figures. We will continue to implement the project in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.”
The preservation of historical memory is an important direction of the people’s program and the party project “Historical Memory,” as noted in the United Russia party.
