From March 12 to 16, Krasnoyarsk received a delegation of popular Chinese bloggers. The blog tour was organized by the Dmitry Hvorostovsky International Airport with the support of the Tourist Information Center. Its goal is to demonstrate to the Chinese market the unique winter potential of Siberia, show a high level of service and stimulate the growth of tourist flows.
As part of the four-day program, a busy itinerary awaited guests. Bloggers from the Middle Kingdom visited the National Center “Russia”, walked along Serebryany Log, went on an excursion to the Institute of Gastronomy of Siberian Federal University and appreciated the gastronomic capital of Russia while dining in the best restaurants in the city. The active part of the tour included dog sledding, drift taxi on the legendary Zhiguli, a snowmobile ride with a stop at the campfire and tasting of camp borscht, as well as a Khivus ride along the Biryusa Bay.
“We see huge potential in working with the Chinese direction. A successful femme tour for Chinese tour operators in December showed that there is interest, and the blog tour reinforced this result on an emotional level. We are already recording an increase in passenger traffic on flights to China by more than 15% since the beginning of the year,” said Sergei Krupennikov, Deputy General Director for Aviation Commerce at Krasnoyarsk International Airport.
Following the trip, the tour participants shared their impressions, noting the high level of organization of active recreation and the warm atmosphere of hospitality. The Chinese bloggers were delighted with the warm welcome and admitted that the most valuable thing for them on this journey was the care of those greeting them and the best service in Krasnoyarsk. Guests especially remembered the active entertainment, dance master class and traditional Russian bathhouse.
The blog tour allowed Chinese opinion leaders to show their subscribers that winter Siberia is not only frosty, but also vivid impressions, hospitality, rich culture and modern tourism infrastructure.
