An attack hundreds of kilometers deep into Russia. Kyiv hit a “unique bet”

— Ukraine's Unmanned Forces struck a key enemy aircraft repair plant, the Ukrainian army reports. It is a company located in Staraya Russa, approximately 300 km from the front line. As our neighbor adds, this is a “unique plant of the Russian authorities” that repairs and modernizes various aircraft used by the Kremlin, including the huge Il-76 transport planes.

— The plant carries out defense orders for the Russian security forces and also participates in export contracts. Hitting such plants directly limits the enemy's ability to repair and maintain aircraft in combat readiness, add representatives of the Ukrainian armed forces.

Black weeks of Putin's forces

The just-announced attack is only part of a severe series of attacks carried out by Kiev in the last two weeks. As reported by the Ukrainian staff, between March 1 and 15, Ukraine struck more than 20 Russian air defense systemstargeting launchers, radar stations, electronic warfare equipment and other devices also related to artillery fire.

A large part of these strikes took place in Crimea, where there is still a lot of Russian military equipment related to, among others, with anti-aircraft defense, and each such attack is a significant blow to the aggressor's forces.

— Each destroyed or disabled air defense system, radar station or electronic warfare means creates a gap in the enemy's air defense system, opening space for our missile attacks and air operations, sums up the Ukrainian army staff and is probably already planning further operations of this type. Especially since in recent weeks the West has apparently replenished Ukraine's stockpiles of ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.
