Bolojan suggests that PSD is playing theater for its own electorate: “That's the only logic I can identify”

The prime minister denies talk of a reshuffle and a “Coalition crisis” and suggests that some of the social democrats' public reactions are down to internal party communication. Ilie Bolojan suggests that PSD is playing theater for its own electorate.
Asked on the B1 TV channel if the coalition explicitly discussed a possible government reshuffle, the head of the Executive categorically rejected this hypothesis.
“Such issues were not addressed at any coalition talks“, he said.
Regarding the press release sent on Wednesday by the PSD, according to which “prime minister Ilie Bolojan today caused a new deadlock in the governing coalition during the negotiations for the preparation of the state budget” and “included in his draft budget a series of provisions that completely contradict the requests previously expressed by the leaders of the parties that ensure his parliamentary support” andthe head of the Government rejected in the show the idea of tensions in the coalition.
“I can inform you that today, at the coalition meeting, we got along in good order. You can ask the other participants if there were contradictory discussions on these proposals”said Ilie Bolojan.
Asked whether these positions are intended to convey to his own electorate the idea of an internal struggle to obtain social measures, the prime minister avoided commenting directly on the strategy of the governing partners, but admitted that this is the only logical explanation he can identify.
“Let's try to give a break, let's find some reactions… something logical in Romania, and that's the logic I can identify”Bolojan said, suggesting that certain public statements may serve to reinforce PSD's internal messages rather than reflect actual coalition discussions.

What other accusations did the PSD launch against the prime minister
We remind you that, in the same communique sent by the PSD, in which the social democrats indicated the existence of a deadlock, the social democrats launched other criticisms of Ilie Bolojan:
“Through this inflexible and defiant attitude towards the Coalition partners, the prime minister becomes directly responsible for blocking the adoption of the budget and the instability it induces in the current government”,
The social democrats stated that among the most controversial elements introduced in the budget project proposed by Bolojan are:
1. Subfunding of the Solidarity Program, requested by PSD, to support vulnerable categories that have been heavily affected by inflation and austerity measures.
2. The drastic cut of investments for the development of local communities.
3. “Confiscation” to the central budget of a substantial part of the sums due to local authorities.
PSD announces that, under these conditions, immediately after receiving the written form of the draft budget, the party leadership “will meet to decide the political actions that are required”.
