The police opened a criminal case against a 16-year-old resident of the city of Nazarovo, Krasnoyarsk Territory, suspected of participating in a scheme based on…illegal circulation of means of payment.
It was established that the girl responded to an offer to make money online. The “employers” informed her that various amounts of money would be deposited into her account, which would need to be transferred to different accounts. For this she was promised a small percentage.
“It was not possible to build a dizzying career, nor to earn a fabulous amount – the girl managed to “work” for two days and make several transfers. For this she received 1,600 rubles, and in addition, she came to the attention of law enforcement officers,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The schoolgirl is charged with committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Onthe execution, out of selfish interest, by a client of a money transfer operator of illegal transactions using an electronic means of payment at the direction of another person and (or) in the interests of such a person). The minimum punishment for this is fine up to 300 thousand rubles, maximum – imprisonment for up to 3 years. During the investigation, the defendant was given a measure of procedural coercion in the form of an obligation to appear.
