In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court ordered the administration of the city of Sosnovoborsk to pay compensation for non-pecuniary damage to a 12-year-old boy to the stray dog from a bite of a homeless dog.

The father of the injured child turned to the prosecutor's office. The man said that his son, walking in the courtyard of the house near the store, decided to stroke the homeless dog, but he attacked him and injured his face.

“The wounds healed for a long time, and the psychological trauma with him still remained – after the attack, the child developed fear of animals. The prosecutor’s audit showed that the aggressive dog, despite the presence of the chip, for a long time roamed the streets freely and attacked people. Meanwhile, the attracted capture service was inactive and did not respond to numerous appeals of local residents. The city administration also ignored its duties. The contract for the capture of homeless dogs was concluded, but this did not remove responsibility for the quality of the work contracted and the safety of people, ”the prosecutor’s office said.

The agency appealed to the court with a request to oblige the city hall to pay 40 thousand rubles to the victim of compensation for non -pecuniary damage to the victim. Currently, the requirements are satisfied, and their implementation is under control.
