In Achinsk, a woman received a suspended sentence after picking cannabis on the street. This was reported in the joint press service of the courts of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

It follows from the verdict that on December 4, 2025, a woman driving a car along Krasnaya Zvezda Street saw a wild plant. Achinka stopped, picked some cannabis and placed it in a jar, after which she got back into the car. She placed the jar of cannabis in the armrest between the front seats of the car.

Later that day, police stopped the woman's car and found marijuana.

A criminal case was opened against Achinka under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage without the purpose of selling a narcotic drug in a significant amount).

The court took into account the woman’s personality, the presence of mitigating and the absence of aggravating circumstances and sentenced Achinka to 1 year in prison. Taking into account the requirements of Art. 73 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the punishment was considered suspended with a probationary period of 1 year.

The verdict did not enter into legal force.
