Ultrasound should be done preventively at least once a year, as well as in case of pain or discharge. It is suitable for women of any age, including pregnant and lactating women. The method shows cysts, formations and tissue condition well.

Doctors emphasize that some diseases make themselves felt already from the age of 35. Among them, for example, fibroadenoma, benign breast tumor. For young women, ultrasound will be enough for prevention.

Mammography is usually prescribed after 40-45 years. Normally, a woman's breasts are dominated by glandular tissue, which appears as a white spot on the mammograph. However, with age, glandular tissue is replaced by fatty tissue, and against this background, even small structures become clearly visible.

The method allows you to notice changes that cannot be detected by palpation or ultrasound. Doctors advise adult women to undergo mammography for prevention, even if there is nothing troubling.
