The Krasnoyarsk Territory was recognized as the winner in the “Breakthrough” category based on the results of the implementation of road industry development programs within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. The award ceremony took place at the Transport Week forum, the regional Ministry of Transport reported.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin emphasized the importance of the results achieved by the region:
“I would like to congratulate the Krasnoyarsk Territory on receiving the award. This is the result of comprehensive work on the construction of road facilities and ensuring road safety, which is carried out in the region. Today, the region has almost completely completed the plan for laying the top layers of road pavement on the regional and local road network.”
As part of the “Regional and Local Road Network” project, 220 km of roads and 10 bridges of regional importance, as well as 47 km of roads in Krasnoyarsk and three bridges in the territories, were updated in the current road season. Financing amounted to 11.4 billion rubles, half of which came from the federal budget. Particular attention was paid to roads near socially significant objects, as well as to organizing safe traffic near schools and hospitals.
Minister of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Dmitry Zotin noted that the work will continue:
“The development of the road network is an integral part of creating a comfortable, reliable and safe environment for residents. Next year we will continue systematic work – we will put another 70 objects in order, more than half of them have already been contracted.”
Let us remind you that earlier in the Krasnoyarsk Territory the road from Drokino Mountain to the overpass near Solontsy was put in order. About 1 billion rubles were allocated from the regional and federal budgets to update a section of the road network within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
