Dinamo Bucharest reacted by means of an official point of view in relation to the racist banners displayed by its supporters at Saturday's derby with Rapidlost in Giulesti, score 2-3.
On Saturday, at the derby in Giulesti, Dinamo's ultras displayed a racist message, which read “Yesterday in captivity, today in the gallery”.
After the sociologist Gelu Duminică demanded that the LPF sanction Dinamo, the Pro-Europa Roma Party Association sent a statement announcing that it had filed a complaint with the General Prosecutor's Office, the CNCD and the FRF.
On Monday, the club came up with an official position, by which it delimits itself from such actions.
Dinamo's press release, after the racism scandal from the derby with Rapid: “The club defines itself”
“Club Dinamo 1948 firmly disassociates itself from any manifestation of a racist, xenophobic or discriminatory character, regardless of the form in which it is expressed.
Dinamo 1948 unequivocally rejects any such behavior and reaffirms that respect for the dignity of all persons is a principle that cannot be subject to any derogation.
As the organizing club of matches played at home, Dinamo 1948 always respects and applies the rules established in the pre-game cooperation meeting, so that no banner or message is displayed in the stadium without the prior consent of the parties involved in the organization and security process, namely the organizer and the Romanian Gendarmerie.
The club will continue to collaborate with all competent institutions, within the limits of the regulations in force“, Dinamo transmitted, through a press release.
Obviously, Dinamo is running an anti-racism campaign, we don't identify with such a thing, we asked for explanations too, let's see what happened.
Do you know how to organize a match? Who is responsible for the banners that enter Giulesti? the club. An action plan is made, each gallery comes with the messages it wants to display, certain messages are excluded from the start by the organizers.
Then it is assumed that the ultras, who are very inventive, will try to find solutions, such as cutting out part of the messages, so that they can bring the messages into the stadium. Then it is the responsibility of the organizing club to check what is happening. A protocol with the Gendarmerie is checked, approved and signed.– Andrei NicolescuMonday, at Football Club, Digi Sport
