In Norilsk, a man will stand trial for attempted murder of his former partner. The regional prosecutor's office reported this.

According to the supervisory authority, in December 2025, a former partner came to a 54-year-old resident of a northern city and asked to spend the night. At first the woman did not open the door, being against his visit, but later the man finally ended up in the apartment. In the kitchen, he took a knife and began cutting meat for dinner, but the situation quickly became tense – a quarrel broke out between the ex-lovers.

“The guest hit the woman in the face with his fist and began to choke her. The man confronted his former partner with a tough choice: either he would stab her to death, or she would jump out of a second-floor window. When the woman refused, the aggressor put her on the windowsill, turning her feet towards the street, and sharply pushed her in the back,” the regional prosecutor’s office reported.

As a result, the Norilsk woman fell out of the window and fell to the ground, receiving serious injuries.

The man claims that he did not intend to kill his ex-lover, but only wanted to intimidate the woman. However, the prosecutor confirmed the charge of attempted murder against him (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The criminal case will be considered by the Norilsk City Court
