The injury occurred following a duel with Michael Folorunsho. After the contact, Marin limped for a few minutes, and then was unable to continue.
Marius Marin is the fourth “tricolor” to get injured, after Denis Drăguș, Alex Chipciu and Louis Munteanu. The first one could not be used anyway due to a suspension.
Malthe Hojholt took the place of the Romanian, and Pisa prevailed on their own ground without problems, score 3-1. He climbed to 19th place, penultimate in Serie A, with 18 points after 29 stages.
