US offers reward for information on Iranian leaders. Who are the persons concerned?

The US announced on Friday that it is offering a reward of 10 million dollars for information about the fate of Iranian leaders, including the new supreme guide, but specifically targeting the Revolutionary Guards, the elite army of the regime in Tehran, reports AFP, taken over by Agerpres.

The announcement targets both Mojtaba Khamenei, the new supreme leader, and the head of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, according to a statement issued by the US State Department.

Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib are also among the ten people on the State Department's list.

“These individuals command and direct various elements of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which plans, organizes, and carries out terrorist acts around the world,” the State Department said.

The department is asking potential informants to submit information through the Signal app specifically: “Your information may allow you to receive a reinstatement and a reward.”

Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had ruled Iran since 1989, was killed in a bombing on February 28 at the start of the war. He was replaced by his son, Mojtaba, but speculation about his health persists, following announcements by state television and some officials that he was injured in the bombings.

On Thursday, a message from Mojtaba was shared, without video or audio content.

The US and Israel have indicated that they have killed numerous Revolutionary Guard leaders since the start of the military campaign on February 28.
