Pavel Badea, 58, the president of the Craiova University Sports Club, claims that the appointment of Mirel Rădoi, Olten's coach in the first part of the season, to FCSB is not a surprise. At the same time, he gives him credit for his progress this season and confesses that a possible return of him to Bănie is not excluded, that “he will always have an open door in Craiova”.
Badea believes that FCSB is gaining a valuable coach, capable of bringing professionalism and organization, “if he is allowed to coach”. He also appreciated Radoi's statement about the situation in Craiova, saying that the coach showed realism and character when he admitted that the merits of the current results belong to Filipe Coelho, the one who now leads the team.
Pavel Badea: “It's not a surprise that he went there”
“It is not a surprise that he went there. Mirel is the child of the FCSB. He was formed and raised in the spirit of the FCSB. It is just a return home. He is from Olt, but by adoption he is an FCSB-ist.
Mirel will never have the door closed in Craiova. He has done good things here and we must give to Caesar what is Caesar's. He is a very good coach and it is a very big win for FCSB to have him there. He will bring professionalism and organization and I hope he will be allowed to coach”, declared Pavel Badea for GSP.ro.
Then he added: “I really liked Mirel's statement. What is happening in Craiova is not his merit, but Coelho's, but we must not take away his merits. That means it's realistic and has character. Now, Coelho leads the destiny of the team, he is responsible for the results, and the results are positive”.
“If the University of Craiova wins the title, it will be thanks to Coelho and his staff, not because of me”, said Radoi, at Tuesday's conference when he was introduced to the FCSB.
