A new RO-Alert message in Tulcea. Two Typhoon aircraft were lifted from the ground

The representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Tulcea announced that, on Friday evening, a new RO-Alert message was issued for the northern area of the county, this being the third during the day of Friday by which the population is warned about the possibility of objects falling from the airspace. The Ministry of National Defense reported that two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft were lifted from the Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, informs News.ro.
“For the northern area of Tulcea county, a new RO-Alert message was sent, through which the population is informed about the possibility of objects falling from the airspace, in the context of signaling targets located in the proximity of Romania's border with Ukraine. This is the third RO-Alert message sent during the day today for the northern area of Tulcea county”, said the representatives of ISU Tulcea.
Two German planes were lifted from the ground
The message was issued through the national public warning system, based on the information provided by the competent structures responsible for airspace surveillance and security.
“We reiterate the fact that the territory of Romania is not targeted by the attacks of the Russian Federation, but, considering the situation near the border, the authorities are sending warning messages to inform and protect the population. We recommend citizens to carefully follow the content of the RO-Alert messages received and to respect the indications sent by the authorities”, the representatives of ISU Tulcea sent.
In the conditions of the new alert on the Romanian-Ukrainian border, two planes of the German military aviation took off on an air police mission.
“The drone attacks on the Ukrainian ports on the Danube continue, other targets being detected on Friday, March 13, at around 17:45. The anti-aircraft defense was alerted and two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the German Air Force, in the service of the Reinforced Air Police, took off from the 57th Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base”, stated the MApN representatives.
Three alerts in one day
This is the third message alerting the population in the north of Tulcea county during this day. The first was launched by the authorities during the morning, at 10.05 am.
The anti-aircraft defense systems were put on alert, and two F-16 aircraft from the 86th Borcea Air Base took off to research and monitor the airspace, reports MApN.
“From the data available up to this time, it is possible that drone remains have also fallen on Romanian territory, in the Chilia Veche area. Specialized teams are prepared to intervene in the field to start a search operation,” MApN announces.
Following the detection of new drones in the immediate vicinity of Romanian airspace, a second RO-Alert message was sent to the population of the Danube Delta area, applying the procedures provided for such situations, reports MApN.
“Around 11:55, two Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft of the German Air Force, in the service of the Reinforced Air Police, were lifted from the 57th “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Air Base. The air alert ended at around 12:50 p.m.,” MApN announces.
