The French military climbed on Wednesday on board a so-called “ghost fleet” of Russia, which was immobilized off the French coasts and is suspected of involving the appearance of Denmark drones, AFP reports.

The soldiers, wearing the usual uniform and caps, patrolled on the deck of the ship on Wednesday afternoon, noticed a photographer and journalist of the French press agency who flew over the ship.

The oil was “seized last Saturday” by the French authorities, and a “business team went on board,” a military source told AFP.

The crew of this oilman committed “very serious mistakes,” said French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, after French justice opened an investigation against this ship.

For her part, the French navy said that the authorities are investigating the Boracay oil on the grounds that the crew did not provide proof of the nationality / paviolion of the ship “and did not comply with the orders of the Coast Guard”. The French authorities did not provide other details.

What is known about Boracay oil

This oilman, who is currently sailing under the African state flag, has changed his pavilion and names several times (which is currently “Pushpa” or “Boracay”) and is on the list of European sanctions, notes Agerpres.

The ship is suspected in addition to involvement in the recent mysterious appearances of drones in the area of airports and military bases in Denmark.

The specialized site The Maritime Executive claims that this oil could have served as a “launch platform” of drones in the Baltic Sea or as a “bait”.

Asked on Wednesday about these accusations regarding drones, the French president, however, urged “caution”, in statements given to the press before the informal summit of EU European leaders held in the Danish capital Copenhagen.

Although he has not yet elucidated where those drones came from and who handled them, Denmark was in a hurry to accuse Russia, and the head of the Danish government, Mette Frederiksen, asked at the beginning of the summit a “very strong response” from Europe to the “hybrid war” worn by Russia.

The Kremlin accuses Europe of “numerous challenges”

In turn, Moscow warned, on Wednesday, that he will take the necessary military measures to guarantee the security of his commercial navigation in the Baltic Sea, following the European “challenges” related to Russian oil.

“In various waters, including in the Baltic Sea, European countries and Riveran states resort to numerous challenges, which, in our opinion, do not favor the freedom of commercial navigation,” said the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitri Peskov, after being asked at his daily press conference on the Russian oil case.

“Sometimes, this forces our armed forces to take measures to restore the order,” Peskov added.
