When and where can Holograf fans come to say goodbye to Iulian Mugurel Vrabete. “It helps a lot to feel how many people loved him”

The band Holograf has announced when and where fans can come to say goodbye to bassist Iulian Mugurel Vrabete, who passed away on Thursday, March 12. The band members also stated that the shows scheduled for this month will go ahead as announced.

“Thank you for all the messages of support we've received today. Since so many of you have asked, we want to make a few clarifications.

The shows scheduled during this period – Arad (March 13), Reșita (March 14), Timișoara (March 15) and Sala Palatului (March 17) – will take place as announced. It won't be easy, but we feel we have a moral duty to respect Mugurel's wish and belief that “The show must go on” Holograf announced on Facebook.

The Holograf band announces that those who wish to say goodbye to Iulian Mugurel Vrabete can come on Friday, between 14:00 and 20:00, at the Sala Palatului, where the lifeless body of the artist will be laid.

Access will be through the artists' entrance, located on the right side of the hall, in Valter Mărăcineanu Street.

Also, fans can say goodbye on Saturday morning, between 09:00 and 11:00, at Vitan Bârzești Crematorium (Str. Iuliu Hatieganu no. 1).

Iulian Mugurel Vrabete died at the age of 70, following an incurable disease. Born on October 14, 1955, in Craiova, Mugurel Vrabete attended the Faculty of Architecture, but his passion for music quickly brought him to the world of rock.

During his student days he founded the band Basorelief at Club A, a progressive jazz-rock project. After graduation, in 1982, he moved to Alba Iulia, where he sang with the band Mass Media, before settling in Bucharest.

In 1987 he joined the band Holograf, becoming the band's bassist and remaining one of its constant members for nearly four decades. Over the years he was the composer and lyricist for many of the group's songs.
