Dinamo felt the need to come back with an official statement after the rumors that appeared in the last few days. After both Zeljko Kopic, his technician Dinamoas well as Andrei Nicolescu, the president of the “dogs”, denied the information according to which the Croatian and the second coach Florentine Petre would leave in the summer, the club from “Ștefan cel Mare” considered it necessary to clarify the situation through an official statement.
The club claims that the information appearing in the public space represents untrue information. Zeljko Kopic (48 years old) is currently the longest serving coach among the play-off teams, occupying Dinamo's technical bench from 1 December 2023.

Dinamo came back with an official statement shortly after the rumors appeared, categorically denying the circulated information.
Club Dinamo strongly rejects these statements and categorically condemns the presentation of false information. We find it regrettable that such information was presented publicly without a minimum of verification and without the representatives of the club being contacted for a point of view. Professional responsibility requires that statements made in the public space are based on correct and verified information.
Beyond the fact that these claims are untrue, their effects are visible: they generate artificial tensions and create confusion among supporters. The reactions that have appeared online clearly show that such statements can lead to false impressions regarding the existence of internal conflicts or a state of uncertainty within the club.
For a club with such a passionate community of supporters as Dinamo, the spread of unverified information only fuels unnecessary worry and discontent among the fans.Club Dinamo cannot remain indifferent in the face of such situations and reserves the right to use all necessary legal means to protect its image and to combat the spread of false information affecting the club, the people who work within it and the relationship with our supporters.

Zeljko Kopic, the longest-serving coach in the Superliga
Croatian Kopic arrived at Dinamo in December 2023, replacing Ovidiu Burcă, the technician who had promoted the team to the Super League. In the current mandate, the coach recorded 41 wins, 34 draws and 26 defeats in the 101 matches played on the “red and white” bench.
During his career, Kopic also coached teams such as Lucko, Cibalia, NK Zagrb, Slaven Belupo, Hajduk Split, Pafos, Dinamo Zagreb and Botev Plovdiv. However, Dinamo Bucharest is the club where the Croatian technician spent the longest period of his coaching career.
