Andriy Vitrenko: Higher education cannot be cut for the sake of economy
The deputy minister of education criticizes the current reform of higher education, emphasizing the risks of hasty decisions and threats to the availability of education. “In 2021, I already warned about the consequences of the reduction of the ZVO network – now we see them in practice. The biggest threat is an increase in the indicative cost of education — it needs to be postponed,” Vitrenko said in an interview Lenta.UA.
He emphasizes: the main thing is not economy, but the quality and accessibility of education for everyone, in particular for IDPs and children from the occupied territories.
Vitrenko emphasized that education during the war is the foundation of the state's stability: “If we don't destroy it in the rear, we will stand at the front.”
