Adrian Vasile submitted a memorandum to the FRH requesting his salary rights from CSM Bucharest, but also the termination of the contract that expires in June 2026.

Employed last summer at CSM Bucharest as head coach, for the 2025-2026 season, with a salary of approximately 10,000 euros per month, coach Adrian Vasile was dismissed “verbally” by the club management on November 3, after the handball team lost the Champions League match with Odense, 30-36, on November 2.

CSM Bucharest did not terminate Adrian Vasile's contract

The club announced that from December 1, Bojana Popovic will be the head coach, instead of Adrian Vasile, and requested the “A” badge from the federation for the Montenegrin technician.

During this entire period, the CSM Bucharest club did not dismiss Adrian Vasile with “documents”, the technician not receiving any official notification that he is no longer the head coach of the women's handball team.

Also during this period, Adrian Vasile was no longer paid by the club and for this reason he made a memorandum to the federation to receive his financial rights for the months of December, January and February, for approximately 30,000 euros. In the same memorandum, Adrian Vasile also requested the termination of the contract with CSM Bucharest.

Sources close to the CSM club confirmed the dispute for GSP and said that: “Adrian Vasile showed up at the team again, did not come to work, did not respect his contract with the club and signed another contract, now being a TV presenter on the show “Survivor”.

The same sources stated that Adrian Vasile was asked by the club's management for an activity report for the respective months, and the coach said that: “The club blocked his activity…!”

FRH collects evidence

Adrian Vasile submitted the memorandum to the FRH 2 weeks ago, and both parties came up with objections for the respective case.

The case will be judged by the federation's litigation commission, after all the required evidence is collected.
