The general director of the Krasnoyarsk travel company, Alena Grudyakova, spent a day and a half traveling home from Dubai.
Due to the worsening situation in the Middle East, the cruise ship she was on never left port, and return flights were canceled en masse. She told sibnovosti.ru about her return.
Alena went on a business trip on February 28 along with 45 representatives of the travel industry from Russia. They boarded the ship in Dubai in anticipation of a cruise on the UAE-Oman-Qatar route, but the ship remained in the port. Access to the decks was closed, they were not allowed into the city, and on the evening of March 5 an alarm sounded. Passengers were informed that they needed to leave the ship on March 7 instead of the planned 14th.
Alena planned to fly on the Dubai – Novosibirsk – Krasnoyarsk flight, but a day before departure she received an SMS about cancellation. The airline did not offer any alternatives. I had to urgently look for a new route. Tickets through Moscow cost from 100 thousand rubles just to the capital, so she chose the route through Uzbekistan: Dubai – Navoi – Yekaterinburg – Krasnoyarsk. The flight cost 85 thousand rubles.
The tour operator emphasizes: ordinary tourists always advise buying ready-made packages, so that in an emergency the host party takes care of all the transportation.
Let us remind you that the airspace over the UAE was closed due to the military conflict between Iran and Israel. There are no military operations taking place on the territory of the Emirates themselves.
