A copy of a 19th century railway station will appear in the renovated Central Park of Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk in the renovated Central Park named after. Gorky, a new educational building of the children's railway will appear in the form of a copy of the railway station of the regional capital of the early 19th century.

The readiness of Krasnoyarsk Railways to update the Krasnoyarsk Children's Railway (KRZD) was assessed by Sergei Saratov, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways OJSC for personnel management and social issues. Together with the head of Krasnoyarsk Railways, Alexei Tumanin, he visited the construction site in the Central Park of Krasnoyarsk, where the construction of a new educational building of the Russian Railways is planned.

At the moment, the construction project has been approved and a technological passage to the work site has already been equipped.

The new building will be located in the northwestern part of Central Park with access to the Historical Quarter. The object will organically fit into its concept: the building is planned to be built in the form of a unique copy of the Krasnoyarsk railway station of the 19th century.

Sergey Saratov and Alexey Tumanin noted the importance of Children's Railways as a children's institution of additional education in Krasnoyarsk, which is always popular among schoolchildren who dream of trying on railway professions.

With the advent of the new building, the training conditions for young railway workers will improve: the future building will have six classrooms equipped with virtual simulators and computers, where children will be able to master the professions of a driver, station attendant, conductor and many others at a modern level.

It should be noted that the renovation of the Children's Railway is part of a large-scale reconstruction of the Central Park in preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk.

The Krasnoyarsk Children's Railway is the oldest children's railway currently existing in Russia. In 2026 she will celebrate her 90th birthday.
