In the regional capital, the results of the first auction for the placement of coffee trucks and mobile retail outlets were summed up. Previously, entrepreneurs could install them for free, but since December last year the mayor’s office decided to equalize their rights with other tenants.
11 locations with an area of about 10 square meters were put up for auction. These are sites on Mira Avenue, Karl Marx Street, Central and Yaryginskaya embankments, and Oktyabrsky Lake Park.
As Gorod Prima writes, the starting price of each lot was only two thousand rubles a year, but during the auction the amounts increased significantly. The absolute record holder was the place at the intersection of Mira Avenue and Dzerzhinsky Street. Entrepreneur Mikhail Ambrozyak offered 1.04 million rubles for it – 500 times higher than the initial price.
According to open sources, he is a co-owner of the Ludwig64 mobile coffee shop chain. The company also won the right to operate near Siberian State University on Mira and on Yaryginskaya embankment, where previously there were no outlets.
The most accessible place turned out to be in the Festivalny park on Novaya Zarya Street. Mars LLC will pay a little more than 77 thousand rubles a year for it. The remaining lots sold with prices ranging from 220 to 350 thousand rubles.
The winners will be able to install coffee shops after signing contracts with the mayor's office and agreeing on the design with the architects. Work at these points is allowed until 2033 with annual payment based on the results of the auction.
