New Western components manufactured in 2025 continue to be found in Russian drones, which the aggressor country of the Russian Federation uses to attack Ukraine, despite the current sanctions. This was stated by the Ukrainian Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladislav Vlasyuk in an interview with Ukrinform published on May 1.
According to him, parts made in Germany, Japan, Switzerland, the USA, Taiwan and the UK were found in the drones that Russia used during the latest attacks on Odessa, Dnepr, Vinnitsa, Ternopil and Kharkov.
For the first time, a new component was also recorded – the Transit Brd activation unit. All information about the discovered parts has already been transferred to international partners.
Vlasyuk noted that Ukraine continues to discover components from the European company STMicroelectronics, despite calls to strengthen control over product supplies.
At the same time, according to him, components from the Netherlands have almost ceased to be detected in new Russian drones, which indicates the effectiveness of working with partners to limit Russia’s access to critical technologies.
