A police special vehicle was involved, on Tuesday, in an accident on DN 2, in the commune of Ruginești, Vrancea county. The special vehicle was moving to a notification via 112, with the light and acoustic signals on, when a car driven by a 52-year-old woman from Păunești turned left without securing, colliding with the special vehicle, reports IPJ Vrancea.

There were two police officers and a 22-year-old student in practice who was slightly injured and transported to the hospital.

“Today, March 10, on DN2 – E85, at 1:49 p.m., in the commune of Rugineşti, there was a road accident in which a police special vehicle and a car were involved. The first checks showed that the police special car was moving to a notification via SNUAU 112 in priority mode, with the light and acoustic signals in operation, towards the municipality of Focşani, at which time the car driven by a 52-year-old woman from Păuneşti commune made a left turn without securing herself, colliding with the special vehicle”transmitted, on Tuesday, IPJ Vrancea.
Both drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the results were negative. A criminal case was filed for culpable bodily harm, and investigations are ongoing.
