Police seized illegally stored weapons and ammunition from a 64-year-old resident of the village of Uner, Irbeysko-Sayan district, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
In the man's house, investigators found 493 cartridges from rifled firearms of two calibers, 293 cartridges from smoothbore weapons of various calibers, three smoothbore guns, a single-barreled gun, a hunting rifle, and five containers of gunpowder.
“The owner of the arsenal said that he purchased most of the weapons back in the 90s, but there was still no time to register them. A criminal case has been initiated against the man under Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of weapons, main parts of firearms, ammunition” and a measure of procedural coercion was chosen in the form of an obligation to appear,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
