Basarab Panduru put the magnifying glass on Cîrjan, after CFR Cluj

Former international Basarab Panduru analyzed Cătălin Cîrjan, Dinamo's captain, after the failure of the “dogs” against CFR Clujscore 0-2, in Gruia. In Transylvania, the offensive midfielder missed a penalty.

Cîrjan did not score in the 9 matches played in the Superliga in 2026, managing to score only in the Romanian Cup, in the victory with Hermannstadt, score 2-0. The attacking midfielder has 4 goals scored in the championship, in 29 games played in the regular season. Cîrjan also managed 5 assists.

Although he has not been seen on the table lately, Cîrjan was not harshly criticized by Panduru. Although he admitted “that he plays poorly”, the former international praised the attitude of the Dinamo captain.

Basarab Panduru: “Cîrjan plays poorly, but the attitude is exactly as it should be”

“My opinion is that the opponent, when he plays with Dinamo, marks Cîrjan. When he is in possession of the ball, he has opponents who pay more attention to him.

Other great players play with other great players beside them. When you play against Dinamo, aren't you more attentive to Cîrjan? That's where the good phases and passes come from. Then you pay more attention to Cîrjan.

You know what would concern me more? If he didn't run and if I would have seen grabs like some players in the second half. But I didn't see it in Cîrjan.

As long as you're serious, I understand when certain things don't work out for you. I have nothing to reproach him for: he plays poorly, but his attitude is exactly as it should be”, said Panduru on Prima Sport, quoted by orangesport.ro.
