Laundry soap is found in almost every home. But using it is not always convenient. The solid bar does not dissolve well in cold water and is difficult to dose. Therefore, many simply put it aside. There is an easy way to make soap much more convenient – turn it into a liquid gel.
To do this, rub a bar of laundry soap on a grater. Pour about a glass of water into the shavings and place on low heat. The mixture is heated, stirring until the soap is completely dissolved. There is no need to boil it – just warm it up.
It turns out to be a thick soap gel. It can be poured into a jar or bottle and used as needed.
This gel is suitable for soaking laundry, hand washing and washing kitchen surfaces. It gently removes dirt and dissolves well in water.
If you need an anti-grease agent, you can add a little soda ash to the hot mixture. Once cooled, it will form a thick cleaning paste. It is applied to the stove or baking sheets, left for a few minutes, and then washed off with water.
The effect is explained by the composition of laundry soap. It contains fatty acids and alkaline components that help dissolve grease and impurities. Therefore, soap is often used as a base for home cleaning products.
