The family income that gives the right to receive benefits for large families in 2026 has been named

A single benefit in Russia will be received by families with three or more children, whose average per capita income is no more than 10 percent higher than the subsistence level in the region. Marina Kartseva, deputy director of the INSAP IPEI center of the Presidential Academy, stated this to RIA Novosti.

“Large families with average per capita incomes of less than 1.1 times the subsistence level will be able to receive the benefit, that is, not only low-income families will receive the benefit, but also those families whose incomes slightly exceed the subsistence level (by 10 percent),” the expert explained.

According to Kartseva, thanks to the innovation, the number of large families eligible to receive benefits could increase by almost one and a half times – from 20 to almost 30 percent of the total number.

Previously Russians were told who should expect pension indexation from April 1. The increase will affect about 4.3 million recipients. Social pensions are assigned to citizens who do not have sufficient insurance coverage, including children with disabilities, children whose both parents are unknown, and adults who have been disabled since childhood. State support includes participants of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad, besieged Sevastopol and Stalingrad, victims of radiation disasters and members of their families, as well as flight test personnel.
