Vel Pitar announces that it is recalling several batches of bread. How can they be identified?

Vel Pitar Romania initiated the withdrawal from the market of some batches of bread, after detecting a foreign body in an isolated case, announced the National Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA), writes Agerpres.
Targeted products can be identified by the expiry date written on the packaging.
“As a precautionary measure, Vel Pitar Romania is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Domnească Alba bread of 1 kg and Deplina Extra white 600g. Following the confirmation of an isolated case of the presence of a foreign body (fragment of plastic material, white color), out of precaution and responsibility, the company has decided to withdraw and recall the products from the batches mentioned below, regardless of the figure following the letter C, the batch number, in order to eliminate or reduce any potential associated risk,” the company's announcement posted Friday evening on the ANSVSA website states.
It is about the following products: Pâine Domnească Albă 1 kg – lots with expiration date: 06.03.26C, 07.03.26C, 11.03.26C, 16.03.26C, 17.03.26C; Deplina Extra white 600 g – batch with expiration date: 05.03.26C.

People who own the products with the mentioned batches are advised not to consume them, but to destroy them or return them to the stores where they purchased them until March 17, 2026. The value of the products will be returned, without the need to present the tax receipt.
ANSVSA says that it is closely monitoring this action and is collaborating with the economic operator Vel Pitar Romania for the complete withdrawal of the targeted products from the market.
