The driver was convicted of an accident with two deaths in the west of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

In Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a court found a motorist guilty of violating traffic rules, which negligently resulted in the death of two people.
It all happened on December 7, 2024 in the Achinsk region. The driver of a VAZ-21070 with a trailer, moving along the passage from the Kommunalnik garden society to the Sibiryak garden society, lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a VAZ-21213. The passenger of the first car and the driver of the second died in hospital from their injuries.
According to Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the court sentenced the culprit of the accident to imprisonment for a period of 3.5 years, serving in a penal colony, and deprivation of rights for 2.5 years. He also partially satisfied the civil claim of the injured party – compensation for moral damage in the amount of 1.5 million rubles was recovered from the convicted person. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
