Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are investigating the circumstances of a fatal accident in the Kozul municipal district.
The night before, at the 688th kilometer of the R-255 Siberia highway. A 64-year-old driver in a Scania truck was driving from Krasnoyarsk in the direction of Achinsk and flew into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Kia Rio driven by a 24-year-old guy.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Kia Rio and his 20-year-old passenger died before the ambulance arrived.
A police investigative team is currently working at the scene of the accident. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 5 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence).
The State Traffic Inspectorate urges drivers to be extremely careful and not make rash maneuvers on the road.
