Mix vinegar and water – the residue on the taps disappears, and they shine like new

Hard water often leaves white marks on plumbing fixtures. Plaque appears on taps, tiles, shower heads and inside teapots. Over time, it becomes dense, and it is difficult to wipe it off with a regular sponge. In this case, a simple solution of vinegar and water helps.

It is easy to prepare the product. Mix vinegar and water in equal parts. For example, half a glass of vinegar and half a glass of water. The solution can be poured into a spray bottle – this makes it more convenient to apply.

The spray is sprayed onto the areas where plaque has appeared. This could be taps, bathroom tiles, shower glass, or a shower head. The solution is left for several minutes. Then wipe the surface with a sponge and rinse with water.

This method works thanks to acetic acid. It helps dissolve lime and mineral deposits that form due to hard water.

If you need to descale a kettle, a solution of vinegar and water is poured inside and brought to a boil. After this, the liquid is drained and the kettle is rinsed well with clean water.

There is also a limitation. It is better not to use a vinegar solution on natural stone, such as marble or granite. Acidic environments can damage the surface. In other cases, this is a simple and affordable way to remove limescale.
