Is this the end of world peace? Trump: Cuba will fall soon

US President Donald Trump told CNN on Friday that Cuba would fall soon. He also assessed that the authorities in Havana wanted to conclude an agreement with the US. He did not provide further details.

– Cuba will fall quite quickly (…) Cuba will also fall. They really want to reach an agreement, the president said in a telephone interview with CNN.

– They want to make an agreement, so Marco (Rubio) will take care of it and we will see what comes out of it. We're really focused on that right now. We have enough time, but Kuba is ready, after 50 years, he continued.

A day earlier, Trump expressed his belief that the fall of the regime in Cuba was only a matter of time, but stressed that he must first end the war with Iran.

Trump said on February 27 that the US was talking to the Cuban authorities and that it might end with a “friendly takeover” of the island. According to the Wall Street Journal, the US goal is to reach an agreement with some of the Cuban regime's elites to carry out a transformation on the island in a similar way to what happened in Venezuela, allied with Cuba.
