Germany is introducing new regulations for gas stations. Fuel prices up

The average price of a liter of E10 petrol has increased to EUR 2,175 throughout Germany, which represents a jump of 7.6 cents from pre-noon prices. Diesel price increased at the same time by 7.5 cents, reaching 2,376 euros. These levels were also clearly higher than the morning prices on Tuesday.
New regulations on setting fuel prices come into force in Germany from Wednesday. Gas stations can only increase fuel prices once a day, at noon. Price reductions are possible at any time.

As a result of these changes, as noted by the dpa agency, on Wednesday at noon at some stations the increases reached up to 20 cents per liter.
Fines up to PLN 100,000 euro for fuel price increases
The German government decided to introducing such rules due to instability on the fuel market in connection with the attack by the US and Israel on Iran. The government expects the new rules, based on the Austrian model, to provide greater reliability through fewer price increases and greater transparency. Another argument was that drivers have long criticized frequent changes in fuel prices at stations.
