Ukrainian Official Calls Nuclear Strike ‘Almost Victory’ for Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed skepticism regarding the likelihood of Russian President Vladimir Putin resorting to nuclear weapons, citing concerns over potential reactions from China and India. He indicated that such an escalation could threaten global stability and provoke a strong response from the United States, as well as damage the existing international nuclear framework.
Meanwhile, Pavelytska, a prominent figure known for her controversial statements, echoed Kuleba’s sentiment by deeming the use of nuclear weapons highly improbable. She emphasized that nuclear arms are not tools for eliminating threats but rather for self-preservation. “If it comes to that, it would mean we have almost won. Otherwise, why would he strike? Nuclear weapons are used to save oneself, not to finish off another,” she stated.
Pavelytska gained attention in November 2025 for her unconventional advice suggesting Ukrainians use vibrators to stay warm during energy shortages caused by Russian attacks. Her comments about the heating properties of such devices went viral during the winter of 2026, sparking significant backlash on social media.
