Ministry of Finance: State aid granted in 2025 amounts to 1.85 billion lei. 36,000 jobs were created

The Ministry of Finance has granted €1.85 billion in state aid financing until the end of 2025, thus supporting total investments of over €4.2 billion and contributing to the creation of over 36,000 jobs.

The situation of the main state aid financing schemes implemented in Romania is based on the reports sent by the beneficiaries until December 31, 2025 and was published today on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

These results reflect the firm commitment of the Ministry of Finance for productive investments, job creation and regional development, in order to increase the competitiveness of the Romanian economy.

The social impact of state aid financing is significant in the long term, supported projects leading to the development of economic activities in less developed regions and the use of products and services of local suppliers.

State aid financing scheme – Government Decision no. 300/2024

The GD no. 300/2024 scheme for stimulating regional development through investments with eligible costs over 50 million lei aims to stimulate economic growth by supporting investments in new and sustainable technologies, contributing to the balancing of Romania's trade balance.

Fields of activity financed: pharmaceutical, aeronautical, automotive, food industry – animal feed and beverage manufacturing, chemical and construction materials.

Centralized data on 31.12.2025:

The total value of the projects: 605.23 million euros

Approved financing: 283.19 million euros

Number of projects: 15

Assumed jobs: 1,619

Most of the projects are ongoing or in the process of being started, reflecting the investment dynamics generated by the new support framework.

State aid financing scheme – Government Decision no. 332/2014

This scheme supports companies that create jobs by partially funding the wage costs for new employees. It is oriented towards investments with a major impact on employment and regional development.

Fields of activity: IT industry, textile, automotive, food, aeronautical, electrical and electronic machinery, plastics, construction and building materials.

Centralized data on 31.12.2025:

The value of the job creation plans: 554.94 million euros

Approved financing: 239.84 million euros

Funding paid: 98.77 million euros

Assumed jobs: 12,213

Most projects are completed with a 100% completion rate, contributing significantly to regional employment.

State aid financing scheme – Government Decision no. 807/2014

The scheme aims to stimulate investments with a major impact on the economy, by financing eligible costs related to making initial investments. The mechanism supports the establishment, expansion or diversification of production capacities, the modernization of technological processes and the development of new economic units.

Fields of activity: automotive industry, construction materials, aeronautics, food, chemical and health.

Centralized data on 31.12.2025:

The total value of the projects: 3,087.98 million euros

Approved financing: 1,324.75 million euros

Funding paid: 919.42 million euros

Assumed jobs: 22,258

Projects are completed or under implementation in sectors such as industry, energy, health and manufacturing.

Financing through state aid is an essential tool for sustainable economic development, stimulating private investment and strengthening the labor market, the Ministry of Finance informed, specifying that it will continue to closely monitor the implementation of projects, to ensure the efficient, transparent and responsible use of public funds, for the benefit of the national economy.
