Krasnoyarsk residents were advised on how to choose the right bouquet of tulips for March 8

5 March 13:20
On the eve of March 8, Krasnoyarsk Rospotrebnadzor gave recommendations on how to choose the right tulips and preserve the freshness of the bouquet longer.
When purchasing, you need to pay attention to the appearance of the flowers. The bud should be dense and half-open, the leaves should be green and without yellowness, and the stem should not be overdried. The petals are without dark spots and elastic; if you bend them slightly, they easily return to their place. Before taking the bouquet outside, it must be wrapped in thick paper or newspaper.
After being outdoors, flowers should be allowed to acclimatize in a cool room and only then brought into a warm place. Before placing the bouquet in the vase, remove all the lower leaves to prevent them from rotting in the water. Trim the stems with an oblique cut, and the thicker the stem, the longer the cut should be.
Place the flowers in a spacious vase with clean water. The bouquet must be kept away from heating devices and direct sunlight. Remember to change the water every day and wipe the inside of the vase to prevent bacteria from growing.
