New places for walking dogs in Krasnoyarsk have appeared at three lakes in the Pashenny microdistrict and on the street. Alexandra Matrosova 30-30k. The mayor's office spoke about this.
The playgrounds have special equipment for training animals: tunnels, barriers, ladders and posts. Benches with canopies and trash cans were installed there especially for dog owners. The territory was fenced with anti-vandal mesh. One of the sites was tested today, November 11, by a professional dog handler, an athlete who competes in the “freestyle dog” discipline, Valentina Sautkina and her pet, the reindeer-breeding Nenets husky Diego.
“The creation of such platforms is necessary. We need places where you can exercise your dog without a leash and teach your pet to live in society. The more diverse a dog’s environment, the calmer and less aggressive it is. There are good shells here, a smooth, non-slip surface. When performing jumps, the dog does not injure its paws. The length and width of the area allow you to play Frisbee with your pet,” Valentina shared her opinion.
A dog area was installed on Matrosova Street following numerous requests from residents of the KhMZ microdistrict. There used to be illegal garages on this site.
“A year ago, we held a meeting with residents at which we decided to build a dog park. 47 illegal garages were removed and the contractor removed the garbage. And already with the onset of warmth, we began work on the arrangement. If possible, we will strive to create such sites in all microdistricts,” said Liliya Nazmutdinova, head of the administration of the Sverdlovsk region.
It is worth noting that the site arrangement must comply with sanitary standards: located at a distance of at least 40 meters from residential buildings and at least 50 meters from the boundaries of educational institutions. Also, the site should not be located in the area of heating, water supply and electrical networks.
Let us add that in the Sverdlovsk region there are currently 5 municipal sites: on the street. Poltavskoy, 32, st. Koroleva, 3a/1, per. Medical, 35, st. Skladskaya, 22 and st. Alexandra Matrosova. In total, thirty-six dog walking areas will operate in Krasnoyarsk this season: 31 are municipal, 5 are equipped by private investors.
