In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal investigation has been completed against a 22-year-old resident of Lesosibirsk, accused of embezzling cash payments to his minor sister. This was reported by the press service of the regional Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, in 2023, after the death of his mother, the accused became the legal guardian of his minor sister. A monetary payment was assigned to support the girl.
“In August 2023, the man started playing in an online casino. Initially, he used his own savings, but after several losses he began to use his sister’s money, which he withdrew from the account. In the period from August 2023 to September 2025, the accused committed the theft of funds totaling more than 600 thousand rubles,” the regional Investigative Committee clarified.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (embezzlement committed on a large scale). The man admitted his guilt and fully compensated for the damage caused.
Currently, the criminal case has been sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent referral to court.
