“Our rules of engagement are bold, precise, and designed to unleash American power, not constrain it. This was never intended to be a fair fight, and it is not a fair fight. We beat them to their knees, and that's the way it should be,” he said.
Operation Epic Fury has so far provided twice the air power of Operation Shock and Awe in Iraq in 2003, Hegseth said. He also stated that the intensity of this campaign is seven times higher than the intensity of previous Israeli operations against Iran during the 12-day war.
“And, as President Trump said, new, larger waves are coming. We are just getting started. We are accelerating, not slowing down,” the head of the US military department emphasized.
He also said that the United States is already winning – “decisively, crushingly and ruthlessly.” Hegseth said US forces would use an “unlimited supply” of precision gravity bombs.
“We have just begun to hunt down, destroy, demoralize, destroy and overwhelm their capabilities. It's only been four days. From last night until a few days later – in less than a week – the two most powerful air forces in the world will have complete control of the Iranian skies,” Hegseth said.
