Donald Trump hits out at Spain for lack of support around Iran. “They have absolutely nothing”

The US president added that Spain has absolutely nothing that the United States needs. “Apart from great people. They have great people, but they don't have great authorities“- he continued.
Trump he has not explained how he intends to carry out this threat, which may prove particularly difficultbecause the United States maintains trade relations with the entire European Union. He later suggested that has the right to impose a total embargo on goods from that country, but has not clearly indicated that it intends to do so.
Spanish government: Trump must respect US-EU agreements
The government in Madrid, quoted by the EFE agency, in response to Trump's words, emphasizes that in order to revise US-Spanish trade relations Washington must act “with respect for the autonomy of private companies, international law and bilateral agreements between the EU and the US.”
The government assured that it has the necessary resources to limit possible impacts, help sectors that may be affected and diversify supply chains.
