Ten in a row! Lorenzo Biliboc and Daniel Pancu won the February Player and Coach of the Month trophies

For the “February Player of the Month” trophy, Gazeta nominated 5 footballers: Lorenzo Biliboc (CFR Cluj), Issouf Macalou (Cluj University), Assad Al Hamlawi (Craiova University), Mouhamadou Drammeh (Cluj University) and Raul Opruț (Dinamo).

Lorenzo Biliboc won the Player of the Month award for the first time

The kid-prodigy from Gruia was a real one-man-show in February, becoming the savior of Daniel Pancu's team.

He scored two decisive goals in the games with Hermannstadt and Petrolul plus a goal in the Cluj derby with Universitatea.

At just 19 years of age, the young footballer has shown his talent and contributed significantly to the team's development shortly after his transfer from Juventus' youth ranks.

Also on the preliminary list were: Denis Alibec (Farul), Meriton Korenica (CFR Cluj), Adel Bettaieb (FC Argeș) and Daniel Bîrligea (FCSB).

In the second category, “Coach of the month”, Gazeta nominated 3 technicians: Daniel Pancu (CFR Cluj), Filipe Coelho (Universitatea Craiova) and Cristiano Bergodi (Universitate Cluj).

For the third time in the GSP project, Daniel Pancu is designated “Coach of the month”, this time with CFR Cluj.

Pancone wrote history and made a colossal performance, hard to match for CFR! The team qualified for the play-offs when no one expected, after a sensational run.

Five victories out of five in February, ten in a row in the Superliga, Pancu took CFR Cluj from relegation to the best teams of the championship.

Victories on the line with UTA Arad, U Cluj, Hermannstadt, Petrolul and Farul, and now the goals are changing on the fly.

The previous trophies were won in October 2024, as a “principal” with the national Under 21 team, and in January 2026.
