
The artist left her comment under the post, the author of which asked to share with her options for cultural, but at the same time offensive statements. She added that examples are needed “so subtle” that “a person will even be happy.”
Burmaka responded by recalling the dubious compliment she received from Nina Matvienko when she was rehearsing a song with her daughter, Ukrainian singer Tonya Matvienko.
“Several years ago I came to Tonya Matvienko to rehearse. And Nina Mitrofanovna, her eternal memory, looks at me and suddenly says: “You have become so beautiful in your old age,” she offered an option from Burmak’s own life.
“It’s funny. She was a good singer, but sometimes she was as simple as a felt boot,” they reacted online.
“That was her realness,” Burmaka replied.
Context
Nina Matvienko died October 8, 2023, two days short of his 76th birthday. About her death the singer's daughter said. Artist buried on October 11 at the Zverinetsky cemetery.
