In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a criminal case was opened against a resident of Achinsk for fictitiously registering four foreigners, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported.

The local police officer, having arrived at the address to check the place of residence of the migrants, found a Russian citizen in the apartment. It turned out that the man had been renting an apartment from a resident of Achinsk for several months. And the foreigners registered at this address have never lived there.

At the moment, a criminal case has been initiated against the 62-year-old Achinka under Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person at the place of stay in the Russian Federation.” In addition, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior. The circumstances surrounding the registration of migrants continue to be clarified.

“The police warn citizens about criminal liability for such a crime and urge them to report known facts of violation of migration laws to the police duty station or by calling 102,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs addressed citizens.
